Tour Terms and Conditions

Quad Break-Away Adventures cc Reg: 2007/240576/23 T/A Break-Away Adventures Africa (hereinafter referred to as B-A A)

Once the Booking form and Terms and Conditions have been signed it will be understood that a contract exists between B-A A and yourself and that these Terms and Conditions are understood and accepted.

B-A A cannot accept any tour participant without a signed Booking form.

Every participant of a tour operated by B-A A is required to accept and sign an Indemnity and Disclaimer before the start of the tour. A copy of this will be provided if requested.

• A deposit of 30 % per person of the tour cost, together with the completed Booking form, secures your tour
• Payment must be received on Booking
• The balance is due 45 days prior to the start of the tour
• Should the total balance not be received 45 days before the start of the tour B-A A reserves the right to treat this reservation as cancelled and charge the cancellation fee (see below)

• An administrative fee of 25 % of the deposit will be retained for cancellations made more than 90 days prior to the tour
• 50 % of the deposit will be retained for cancellations between 45 and 90 days prior to the tour
• The full deposit amount will be retained for cancellations between 30 and 45 days prior to the tour
• 100 % of the tour cost will be retained for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the tour
• There are no refunds for unused services

Collision damage waiver and theft protection insurance are included in the price. A deposit – equal to that of the Insurance Excess amount, is required at the time you collect the motorcycle. The deposit to be paid by credit authorization prior to departing on the tour, and withheld until the motorcycle is cleaned and upon return, at which point the deposit shall be returned if no damage is found.

B-A A recommends that you take out personal accident, medical and adequate travel insurance. These insurances are not in any way included in the tour price. B-A A accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to your person or property.

The participant is responsible for complying with the above regulations and all consequences resulting from non-compliance.

Riders must be over 25 years of age and hold a European or International Motorcycle Driving License. Your license must be carried with you at all times whilst on tour. (A copy must be submitted to B-A A on booking). License must be at least 5 years old.

Our tours pass through areas where weather conditions can change rapidly. B-A A cannot be made liable for unpleasant or unsuitable weather conditions and no refunds are made for such conditions.

GENERAL RIDING / TRAFFIC FINES

It is the participant’s responsibility to abide by the legal traffic regulations, non-compliance and the consequences thereof, are solely the rider’s responsibility. Bikers ride at their own risk and are legally liable for injury or damage to fellow participants or other road users. Each rider is to ride within their own skill level, and with due care and consideration for their own safety and that of fellow travelers and other road users. Riders must follow the direction of the tour leader who reserves the right to terminate a participants riding if he feels that the client is unsafe to himself or others.

Any traffic fines which may be incurred by yourself for whatsoever offence will be your responsibility to pay, an administration fee of R250.00 will be charged.

BREAK-AWAY ADVENTURES – RESPONSIBILITY

Break-Away Adventures are responsible for providing and arranging an itinerary and services as described on the Break – Away Adventures website. Break-Away Adventures are responsible for travel preparation and reserve the right to change and improve without notice. Adapting to changing conditions and situations as they arise, may also be done without notice.

INDEMNIFICATION OF BREAK-AWAY ADVENTURES cc

The undersigned accepts that riding a motorcycle can be dangerous, and accepts the risks associated with motorcycle travel at his/her own expense. Break-Away Adventures cc is not responsible or liable for any loss or damage to personal property. Break-Away Adventures c is not responsible for loss of life, limb or any other injury of whatever nature whatsoever. Break-Away Adventures cc cannot be held responsible for Acts of God and/or weather conditions beyond its control.

We reserve the right to change a route should weather conditions make a particular area / pass dangerous or life threatening in any way.
