What's the weather like in South Africa?

We have a very temperate climate here, with great year-round riding weather. In Summer it is hot with cooler evenings and occasional thunder storms. In winter our days are much cooler with the nights fairly cold. The interior of the country, due to its altitude is colder in winter than that of the coastal areas. The Western Cape has a Mediterranean climate, so it is a winter rainfall area

Motor Bikes

We make use of the reliable, comfortable and safe Late model BMW F650GS and BMW R1200GS

Fuel / Petrol

Fuel / Petrol cannot be paid for by credit card. Our Garages only accept cash payments in South African rands. It is recommended that you budget at least R300.00 per day for fuel

Alcohol

Drinking and Riding is strongly discouraged, and not accepted by the South African police. After the days riding is done, there is nothing better than to relax and enjoy a beverage of your choice!

The speed limit is 120 km/hr on freeways and highways, 100 km/hr on other major roads and 60 km/hr in built up areas.
